Daily dose also for media

Odyseus is non-governmental organization dealing also with the issue HIV and AIDS. In the organization we see an important role of media to inform and raise awareness of general public about the HIV and AIDS. However, Odyseus is more service providing organization and therefore such complex action we take for the first time. And it is also for the first time, that in Slovak republic there is week long action on HIV/AIDS.

In the week 20-26.5.2007 Odyseus will publish each day a special article covering the issues of HIV and AIDS from different perspectives: informing on the global AIDS action week, new technologies in HIV prevention, youth, sex work, injecting drug use, correct terminology and testing. The articles will be published in daily newspapers, on the web page of Odyseus, and other places.

As Odyseus is mostly service proving organization we also have concrete actions which will be hold in Bratislava:

  • for youth: special sessions on safer sex, special small group work about HIV and AIDS
  • f or people who inject drugs: funny quiz on HIV and AIDS with a nice presents
  • for sex workers: special event with unlimited condom distribution.

Campaigners to G8: Keep Your Promises

Nearly 250 organisations and unions from more than 60 countries that signed on their support to demand G8 countries to keep their promises on universal access.
