African civil society delegations are in an increasingly desperate struggle to salvage the important gains made in the last few months of the UNGASS review process. While the African civil society coalition on UNGASS managed to ensure that the African statement to the review meeting was strong, this African Position is now under threat. At the UN high level meeting in New York this week the African civil society coalition is increasingly exasperated at the way the negotiations are going. This note below is being circulated in the UN high level meeting to help the African delegations fight more effectively within the UN meeting.
