On the 23rd of April, the President of the General Assembly released the list of civil society organisations to be invited to participate in the high level meeting on HIV/AIDS, to be held on 10 and 11 of June, 2008. This list includes organisations which do not have ECOSOC status, as those that do have ECOSOC status may continue to register. To see the complete list, see the attachment.
Parliamentarians from more than 100 countries have called for the lifting of travel restrictions for people living with HIV or AIDS. The call to lift the bans came on the first day of meetings by the Inter-parliamentary Union in the Thai capital, Bangkok.
