UNGASS Declaration of Commitment

The Declaration of Commitment is a strong, practical blueprint, reminding the world that there is hope in the fight against HIV/AIDS.

Recognizing their role as catalysts for real change, governments agreed to take action across ten priorities, from prevention to treatment to funding.

Parliamentarians from more than 100 countries have called for the lifting of travel restrictions for people living with HIV or AIDS. The call to lift the bans came on the first day of meetings by the Inter-parliamentary Union in the Thai capital, Bangkok.
